Salesperson (SL140707- RM- 003)

  • Job Details

    The proposed position is one where:
    • the candidate should be exceptionally skilled in sales
    • the candidate selected must have an excellent knowledge of all of our competitors' product lines
    • the candidate will be based at our new Head Office, in El Socorro, but will be required to visit all stores, reseller and customer locations (on a proposed and agreed upon monthly schedule)
    • the candidate must be:
    • be highly motivated to sell all products
    • be a people oriented person with team leadership skills
    • be able to work with minimal supervision
    • fulfill all reporting requirements
    • the candidate must own or have daily access to a proper working vehicle
    • the candidate should be in possession of a valid passport and drivers license. A Heavy T license would be an asset.
    • the candidate should posses at least five (5) O'levels inclusive of English and Mathematics
    • the candidate should have prior sales and/or marketing experience
    • other experience, skills and/or academic qualifications may be considered

    Duties will include but will not be limited solely to:
    1. The holder of the position will act as a full representative for all of product lines.
    This entails:
    • Advanced product knowledge of all of the lines involved (pen, watches, leather goods, journals etc.)
    • Daily meetings and telephone conversations with clients to expose them to the brand and educate them on all products (descriptions, prices, availability, delivery schedules, invoicing, back ordering etc.)
    • Assisting clients in selecting items
    • Selling all of the brands SKUs, cross selling and up-selling where necessary
    • Invoicing and pulling orders from inventory
    • Delivering goods to customers (on occasion) and collecting payments

    2. The holder of the position will report to the Distribution Manager. Management will require monthly reports on fast/slow movers and customer issues & complaints. Additional reporting requirements may occur on a needs basis.
    3. The holder of the position will also undertake to expose resellers and their employees to the brands. To update them with new launches and product information, the Brand's philosophy, imagery and merchandising guidelines.
    4. The holder of the position will also assist with the expansion of our business while working alongside the Distribution Manager. This will include assisting with potential business opportunities – such as:
    • Visiting client locations to conduct meetings
    • Attending events with a mind to selling and promoting the product line
    • To assist and take a major role in the organization of all promotions for Trinidad and Tobago. This will include but not be limited solely to:
    • Creating an annual schedule for upcoming promotions in conjunction with the Distribution Manager
    • Inviting customers to experience promotions.
    • Liaising with the Facebook team to post promotions.
    • Assisting with the installation of promotional materials at all reseller locations.
    • Assisting with restocking in-store gondolas / shelving at all resellers.
    6. Assist with once monthly counts of inventory and compare these to Head Office generated reports to report discrepancies.
    7. Create once monthly commission reports to be submitted to the HR Manager no later than the 15th of every month.
    8. The holder of this position should be mindful that he/she may be required to travel out of the country as necessary for additional training and selling opportunities.
    9. Update an existing customer / sales database with all information as required.
    10. Any additional duty as may be deemed necessary in the fulfillment of this portfolio may be added on a needs basis.

  • General Information

    Proposed Salary of: $3,500.00
    Commission on individual sales once payment has been collected:
    $50,000 - $100,000 = .5%
    $100,000 - $175,000 = 1%
    $175,000 –$275,000 = 2%
    $275,000 - UP = 3%
    (The holder should ensure that their employee initials are attached to every sale they perform)
    Vehicle allowance of $1,500.00
    A mobile company phone will be provided.
    Annual targets will be revised and set at the start of every year.

    1. Six (6) months probationary period for any position during which two appraisals will be conducted.
    Probation can be extended by discretion of Management. The Company reserves the right to dismiss any employee during the probationary period with immediate effect.
    2. Each employee is to sign a confidentiality agreement not to disclose sensitive customer or proprietary information.
    3. All new employees should collect a copy of our Employee Handbook for additional guidelines on conduct, sick leave, dress codes etc.

Van Sales Representative (SL140707-AM-001)

  • Job Details

    o Loading various products into the Sales Van for the purpose of selling such products directly from the van to customers.
    o Keeping records of stock transferred from our warehouse into the van and keeping records of Sales made from the Van so that all products delivered can be accounted for at all times.
    o Raising Bills for all sales being made out of the van and accounting for the monies collected against such bills.
    o Keeping Price Lists of products stocked in the van and ensuring that stock is replenished on a regular basis so that you do not run out of product.
    o Collection of monies for Cash and Charge Bills owed to the Company by your customers and payment of such monies to the authorized Cashier.
    o Completion of a Salesman’s Daily Report indicating the Customers or Potential Customers that are visited and a brief indication of the topics discussed.
    o Ensuring that all safety rules and regulations are in place and observed for the proper handling of Lubricants and related products.
    o Keeping the Vehicle assigned to you clean and presentable at all times and being courteous and observing all traffic regulations to portray a proper image of the Company.
    o Carrying out of any other assignments, which may be given from time to time.

  • Required Competencies

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skill
    • Ability to establish priorities, follow directives and work with little supervision.
    • Knowledge of the automotive industry is an asset.
