Branch Manager (FS140707-AM-001)

    1. Sales Leadership and Sales Management:

    • As the Branch Manager, you are responsible for the negotiation of your branch’s team goals. You will develop a branch Business Plan to achieve these goals based on your local market analysis.

    • You are responsible for developing and negotiating activity and results goals for your individual sales and service officers based on their experience, past performance and position, and receiving agreement from your staff with respect to their negotiated goals.

    2. Service Leadership and Service Management:

    • Ensure every customer is provided with service that demonstrates respect and knowledge, in a manner which makes the customer feel welcome and shows that their business is appreciated;

    • Ensure staff interact with customers in a way that is human, straightforward and knowledgeable;

    • Support the Assistant Manager Service and Support by directly coaching (monthly) and periodically (not less than bimonthly);participating in Branch bi-weekly Service Meetings, and individual one-on-one coaching sessions.;

    • Periodically (not less than monthly) review the Assistant Manager Service and Support’s customer concerns

    3 Manage Small Business Customers:

    • With the assistance of your branch’s Assistant Manager Small Business (if applicable) use the organizations’s sales process to initially identify, then satisfy customer needs, including;

    • Responding to changes in preferences and where necessary, referring the customer to the appropriate level;

    • Helping customers to quantify their long term goals, understanding the gap from where they presently are, and the options available to them to achieve their goals;

    • Working with the customer’s available cash flow and risk profile to identify the best solution for the customer to achieve their goals;

    • Effectively completing periodic reviews and Risk Assessment Worksheets (RAW) for Small Business accounts as required;

    4 Ensure the Branch’s operational effectiveness by:

    • Conducting periodic checks as per the Daily Accounting Cycle and Branch Control Checklists;

    • Ensuring the Daily Management Reports are actioned daily by the OIC-Sales and the OIC-Service;

    • Ensuring the OIC-Service has reasonable explanations for the results in the Non-Financial section;

    • Ensuring workflows and organization plans are appropriate in order to provide efficient operations;

    • Monitoring non-interest expenses against budgets and ensuring there are reasonable explanations for variances;

    • Ensuring human resource administration is current, accurate and reasonable including salary administration, • Performance management, staff turnover and absentee documentation.

    5 Compliance:

    • Meet Regulatory Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering/Anti-Terrorist Financing and Bank policies and procedures for all bank products and services and customer transactions

    6 Develop staff:

    • In addition to individual service, sales and referral goals; supervise the negotiation of personal development goals around the necessary behavioural and functional competencies. Assist staff in organizing a detailed development plan to close gaps.


  • Education and Experience

    • Strong PC skills are necessary, including a working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and all commercial systems and platforms. External education and/or licensing prerequisites: post graduate degree in business or economics or work equivalency. Other training requirements as determined by the Bank from time to time.

Comptroller / Senior Manager Finance (AC140707-AM-003)

  • Job Details


    The Comptroller, Finance Department is responsible for coordinating the development of annual profit plans; the timely preparation of accurate and comprehensive financial analysis and evaluations of the organizations’ performance for reporting and decision making purposes; the conducting of annual review of the organization’s Schedule of Rates; the review of branch account analysis/special pricing requests. Directs the timely and accurate preparation of internal and external financial reporting including tax returns.

    1. Coordinate the development and maintenance of profit plan system and (e.g. profit plan package, submissions, forecast and commentary, All consolidation, final negotiated plans).

    2. Evaluate the performance of branches/ Units by reviewing each unit Profit and Loss Statement for reasonability, ensuring all major variances are authentic, fully investigated and explained by appropriate commentaries, and preparing revised forecast updates. Ensure existing reports and performance measures are adequate and initiate changes as necessary.

    3. Provide effective expense and non-interest revenue management by:

    • Monitoring and recommending changes to Schedule of Rates and meal and travel allowances to minimize expenses/maximize revenues:

    • Reviewing account analysis to ensure the organization is receiving appropriate compensation for services provided;

    • Assisting senior management by preparing financial analysis/projections for inclusion in real estate related proposals and business cases (e.g. new branch proposals, closures, major renovations, relocations);

    • Reviewing annual Capital Expenditure Forecasts for accuracy/reasonability;

    • Authorize or recommend for approval out of policy or budget expenditures in accordance with Terms of Reference.

    4. Contribute toward accounting policy and procedure, and compliance with statutory regulations and policies, and coordinate the execution of the annual shareholders’ audits and periodic Central Bank Inspections. This includes:

    • Ensuring that monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and yearly reports/returns internally and externally are accurately prepared, checked and timely dispatched within the required time frames.

    • Coordinate and supervise the accurate production of all internal and external (local statutory, corporate tax, VAT) reports and returns.

    5. Provide input to financial and economic reports for use by Senior Managers by:

    • Preparing a quarterly Economic Report;

    • Preparing of the Dividend Proposal;

    • Preparing financial statements for the Board of Directors;

    • Preparing other relevant statistical reports and analysis.

    6. Conduct/contribute to the preparation of comprehensive and objective studies and analysis as requested by the Assistant General Manager, Finance including recommendation of the financial performance/viability of particular units, products, investments and operational initiatives.

    7. Contribute to the performance and development of subordinate officers by negotiating and communicating goals and expectations; providing regular feedback and by identifying training and development opportunities consistent with individual career objectives and the Bank’s business needs.
